Vis,
the most flung of the islands of Central Dalmatia, sitting in the open sea, is
renowed for being the most valuable Hellenistic locality in Croatia, and also
for genuine Mediterranean atmosphere, and for crystalclear waters washing its
two larges towns Vis & Komiza. The town Vis is located in the north of the
island, in a wide bay which is a very popular anchorage for
yachtsmen.
